Research interests
Biotechnology: enzyme immobilization methods, comprehensive analysis of enzymatic reactions and structures and ligand binding, investigation of homogenous and heterogenous biocatalysis in batch and continuous-flow reactors (espically different biotransformation integrated in Lab-on-a-Chip systems), biomimetic systems (modelling of enzymatic functions)
Pharmaceutical sciences: enzyme and protein-based therapies (enzyme replacement therapies, enzyme based solid drug formulations), investigation of enzyme inhibitions and ligand binding by classic and novel Lab-on-a-Chip based methods
Materials sciences: catalyst carrier design including micro- and nanoparticles, porous materials nanofibers, nanotubes and polymer beads, advanced surface modification methods for specific catalyst immobilization or isolation techniques
